North Suburban Mennonite Church| Libertyville, Illinois

Every Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., volunteers from NSMC and First Baptist Church host a children's ministry at First Baptist in downtown Waukegan. The number of children in attendance range from 6-7 up to 17-18. We encourage the children to bring their homework, and when possible, we spend time tutoring and reading together. There are board games, coloring for the younger ones, foosball and bumper pool tables, and a blackboard. In the summer, we play outside. It is a true joy and blessing to:

• be greeted with a hug.
• observe new understanding of a math concept.
• share a high five in foosball.
• be taught a new dance step.
• find the parents connecting with us.
• discover how we matter to the kids.

It is a wonderful opportunity to be able to pray for the children and their caregivers and work with dedicated people from First Baptist Church. Volunteers to help with this ministry would be most welcome.
