Congregation

As a Mennonite congregation, we believe that Jesus Christ is our example for everyday living and behavior. Mennonites are known for their emphasis on peacemaking, reconciliation, nonviolence, a simple lifestyle, servanthood, and a strong sense of community and service to others, caring for each other and those in need.

Our congregation numbers about 50 and represents a diverse group of life-long Mennonites and more recent Mennonites. Our participants live not only in Libertyville, but also in the surrounding communities of Mundelein, Grayslake, Round Lake Beach, Lake Villa, and even Wisconsin. We have a number of children and youth in our congregation and they participate in worship in a variety of ways.

Pastor

Our lead pastor is Roland Kuhl. In the past, we have been blessed by the leadership of Mark Vincent, Linda Wiens, pastoral interns Anne Munley and Chuck Swan, David Kerner, Bob Shuford, Dorothy Kratz, and David Myers.

You’ll find encouragement here to grow in faith and make a real contribution to the life of our community. We welcome people of all Christian faiths and people who are simply seeking God.
